Extravadance & Tumble staff members offer a wealth of experience in the fields of dance, tumbling, cheer, and dance teams. They are highly trained professionals, excellent role models for children, and dedicated to instructing in a friendly and caring manner while emphasizing teamwork.
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

Sara B. Walser
Owner / Studio Director
Sara Walser is the Owner and Studio Director of ExtravaDance & Tumble, with over 40 years of experience in the dance industry. In addition to leading the studio, she is a talented seamstress who plays a key role in the design and creation of costumes, bringing creativity and detail to every performance. She is passionate about creating a positive, high-quality environment where dancers grow in confidence, discipline, and character both on and off the stage.

Kendall Kneal
Studio Manager / Director of Non-Competitive Dance
Kendall Kneal is the Studio Manager at Extravadance & Tumble and an experienced instructor with over 35 years of dance training. She holds a Bacherlor of Science in Dance from UNC Greensboro and has performed professionally for over a decade at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and more. Kendall is a former studio owner and national competition judge, bringing a well-rounded perspective to both training and leadership. She is passionate about creating a positive organized environment for dancers of all ages and plays a key role in the studio’s operations.

Erica Bava Summerlin
Studio Director / Director of Competitive Dance
Erica Summerlin is the Artistic Director of Extravadance & Tumble with over 30 years of experience in the dance industry. Known for her passion, high standards, and unmistakable presence, Erica is truly one of a kind. A national champion collegiate dancer, choreographer, judge, and high school dance team coach, she is known for developing strong, confident dancers and leading a program built on excellence, creativity, and heart.

Aimee Crepeau
Instructor
Aimee Crepeau has been an instructor at ExtravaDance & Tumble for nearly 30 years, teaching dancers of all ages and levels. With a strong background in ballet and performance, she is known for her nurturing technique. Aimee also helped create the studio’s Dreams in Motion program for dancers with special needs.

Brooke Moore
Instructor
Brooke Moore is an instructor at ExtravaDance & Tumble with a background in competitive dance and over four years of teaching experience. She is known for her positive teaching style and passion for helping dancers grow in confidence and performance. Brooke also works in healthcare as a Clinical Quality Supervisor and is a proud dance mom to two ExtravaDance & Tumble competition dancers.

Delany Owen
Instructor
Delaney Owner is an instructor and ExtravaDance & Tumble alumni currently attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a member of the Carolina Girls Dance Team and is majoring in Psychology and Human & Organizational Leadership Development. Delaney is passionate about mentoring young dancers and creating a positive, encouraging, classroom environment.

Dinorah Morales
Ballet Instructor
Dinorah Morales is a highly accomplished ballet instructor and former member of the Ballet Nacional De Caracas Teatro Teresa Carreño. With more than 30 years of teaching experience, she has trained and performed internationally and is certified in both the Vaganova method and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). Dinorah is passionate about developing strong, disciplined, and artistic dancers through classical ballet training.

Jackie Hernandez Byrd
Instructor / Choreographer
Jackie Hernandez Byrd is an instructor and choreographer with over 15 years of experience. She has a strong background in both performance and competitive dance and is a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor. Jackie is also a studio owner and is passionate about helping dancers grow in technique, confidence, and artistry.

Kacy Lee
Instructor / Choreographer
Kacy Lee is an instructor and choreographer at Extravadance & Tumble and a graduate of High Point University. A former collegiate team captain, she has performed professionally as a Carolina Panthers TopCat and currently performs as a professional cheerleader for NASCAR. Kacy is also a licensed cosmetologist and salon owner, and is known for her high energy, creativity, and award-wining choreography.

Katlyn Cobb
Instructor
Katlyn began her personal dance journey at the age of four. She has been teaching dance, acro, and cheer for seven years, the last two at Extravadance and Tumble (both studio locations). She has been training in the Acrobatic Arts program alongside Erica Summerlin, and there has been an amazing turnaround in all the acro skills in our all of Academy Acro classes! Katlyn choreographs routines for her local high school and middle school cheer squads as well as for the studios.

Kayley Mathe
Baton Instructor
Kayley Mathe is the baton instructor of ExtravaDance & Tumble and has been twirling since the age of five. She competed for East Forsyth High School and went on to revive the baton program at Wake Forest University. Kayley continues to compete nationally and internationally and enjoys helping students build coordination, confidence, and performance skills through baton. She is passionate about introducing dancers to the unique art and discipline of baton twirling.

Krista Hash

Krista Hash is a dance instructor and competitive team coach with over 15 years of teaching experience. She is known for her strong technical training, motivating teaching style. Krista is passionate about helping dancers grow in both confidence and performance

Maggie Schulte
Instructor
Maggie Shulte is an instructor at ExtravaDance & Tumble and a competitive dancer from Cape May, New Jersey. She is currently a member of the UNCG Dance Team and is passionate about helping dancers grow in confidence, technique, and performance.

Montana Mull
Competition Team Instructor
Montana Mull is a competition team instructor and ExtravaDance and Tumble alumni who began dancing at the studio at age six. He holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Arizona and performs internationally with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. During breaks from his professional contracts, Montana returns to ExtravaDance and Tumble to share his professional experience and inspire the next generation of dancers.

Morgan Huntley
Instructor / Choreographer
Morgan Huntley is an instructor and choreographer with a BFA in Contemporary Dance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a certification in Pilates. She specializes in jazz, contemporary, conditioning, and technical training and is known for helping dancers build strength, artistry, and confidence through movement.

Morgan Mull
Instructor
Morgan Mull began dancing at the age of six in Mooresville and moved to Extravadance and Tumble in 2007, where she danced until she graduated high school. She has trained extensively in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, contemporary, and lyrical. Throughout her training, Morgan has taken instruction from many well-known master teachers. She has also received many accolades, scholarships, and awards as a competitive dancer in regional and national competitions.

Morgan Williams
Instructor
Morgan Williams is an instructor at ExtravaDance & Tumble and a competitive dancer of over 10 years. A standout in hip hop, she brings energy and leadership into every class. Morgan has been selected to work with UDA, where she will travel nationally teaching dance camps, and will attend Virginia Tech in the fall.

Rachael Liberto
Assistant Competitive Director / Instructor
Rachael Liberto has been an instructor at ExdtravaDance & Tumble since 2017 and serves as Assistant Competitive Director. A graduate of Rider University with a BFA in Dance Performance, she is known for her strong technical training and attention to detail. Rachael is also a physical therapist, helping dancers train safely and effectively.

Acro Instructor
Shelby Ijames leads the acro program at ExtravaDance & Tumble and has played a major role in its growth and success. With a background in both dance and education, she is known for her structured, supportive teaching style and her ability to help dancers build strength, confidence, and strong technique.

Sara B. Walser
Sara Walser, the Owner and Studio Director for Extravadance & Tumble, is no stranger to dance. She has been involved in the business for nearly 30 years, dating back to personally beginning her dancing passion at the age of five. For the past 27 years, she has been the full-time Director and Owner of Extravadance & Tumble in Kernersville, NC, as well as several years of ownership at a second location in Eden, NC
Motivated by the art of dance and competition for youth, Sara has not only been involved in dance but also trained for competitive skating and coached high school sports after receiving degrees from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA, and California State University, Stanislaus, Turlock, CA.
Inspired by her daughter Erica’s love for traditional dance as a child, Sara has maintained her dedication to the art form that inspires and empowers young girls and guys to take not only the performance stage but also life’s stage with confidence, determination, and a positive attitude.
After living in Kernersville for many years, Sara currently resides in Mount Airy, NC, with her husband Jim, where they spend time restoring their 100-year-old historical home.
Erica Bava Summerlin, the Director of Competitive Dance for Extravadance & Tumble, has made a major impact in the dance industry for over 30 years, dancing her way across the country from North Carolina to California and everywhere in between.
As an award-winning competition dancer, Erica was also a competitive gymnast, high school cheerleader, actress, and choreographer for her high school musicals. As a young teen, she was selected as a member of the prestigious North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble under the direction of Gene Medler. On the collegiate level, Erica attended UNCC, where she was a member of the 2001 NDA Division 1 National Champion dance team, shown on ESPN.
For the past 15 years, Erica has become a well-known and highly accomplished teacher and choreographer. Her students continuously win superior awards on both regional and national levels based on her creative and energetic choreography.
Erica continues to make a global impact in the world of dance. She travels the U.S. judging for national dance competitions, teaching, and choreographing for other well-known studios. Throughout the year, she travels to New York and California to take classes and stay up to date on the latest trends in dance. She also works collaboratively with the executive producer for Northbend Productions to produce theatre camps, musical productions, and shows for fundraisers and charity events.
Erica loves sharing her talents with children of all ages and, therefore, also directs the TUTU Express Daycare Dance Program, which allows her the opportunity to share her upbeat personality and extensive training with very young dancers.
Her mission is to set a positive example for all of her students, encouraging them to be the best they can be!
She lives in Kernersville with her husband, Chuck, and her three young children, Charlie Jack, Pete, and Ruby.
