Amy Wilson started dancing at age 3 with the Fletcher School of Dance in Asheville and became a class assistant at 11. She did tap, jazz, acrobatics and ballet and was the 1988 National Solo Acrobat Champion at 16 with Showstopper. She left Fletcher at 18 to attend Appalachian State University where she majored in elementary education.
Amy teaches 5th grade at Kernersville Elementary School. She has taught dance at ED&T for four years. Her daughter, Paige, 11, is one of her class assistants. Amy has a cheerful, bubbly personality, and she and Paige are dedicated to every class and every student they teach.
