Amy Hamel brings to ExtravaDance & Tumble extensive teaching experience and a performing career ranging from lead singer and dance captain on Norwegian Cruise Lines to the cast of “Cats” on Broadway.
Amy has a bachelor’s degree in theater arts from Palm Beach Atlantic University and was a member of Ballet Florida in Palm Beach and the Demetrius Klein Modern Dance Company in Lake Worth,Florida. She also was an artist in residence adjunct teacher in the theater department at Palm Beach Atlantic University where she taught theater appreciation, musical theater repertoire and auditions.
An instructor with extensive experience at several dance studios in New Jersey, Amy has taught most dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and musical theater to dancers from age 2 and a half to 18. She has been an adjudicator for both regional and national competitions with Star Systems National Talent Competition since 2002. She joined the ExtravaDance & Tumble staff in 2010.
Amy enjoys sharing her diverse experience with students of all ages.
